Quick answers
What people ask
Can I reduce the excess to zero?
Often, by paying for extra cover. Several companies here sell cover that lowers the excess, in some cases to zero, but glass, tyres and other parts can still be left out. Check what each company says below.
What's the difference between the excess and the deposit?
The excess is the most you pay towards damage under your cover. The deposit is the amount held on your card during the rental. They can be different amounts, so check both.
